A day of fun and entertainment to celebrate the first day of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations

1950’s FunFair
A large traditional fairground with a wide range of rides and stalls for all ages.


Children’s Sports Academy run by SOLL Leisure
Energetic fun for all children – all events Free to enter. Traditional sports including; sack races, egg and spoon races, running races, other less traditional events such as Wellie Throwing and much more. No need to enter the competitions in advance, just turn up and race. Prizes will be awarded for the best times on the day.
There will also be a wide range of supervised children’s activities and a play area with Ball Pits, inflatables and bouncy apparatus.


Cream Teas
Cream Teas available throughout the day. Take some time off from the hectic entertainment in the rest of the Park and relax with The Bowling Club as they will be serving teas plus taster sessions in the finer art of bowls.

Join your friends for a light meal and prepare to Place Your Bets.

Her Majesty will be celebrating the first day of the weekend of Diamond Jubilee celebrations at The Derby at Epsom racecourse.

To replicate this event we are holding an action-packed Race Night at the Wantage Civic Hall with special guests including the renowned trainer Jenny Pitman.

Stan James will be showing races from around the world. Simply place your bets as you eat and drink with the crowds.

  • Dress smart for the Races – Fancy Dress optional
  • Fish and Chip supper included in ticket price
  • Bar

Cost is £12.00 per person
